commercial IDP

Hi,

I have evaluated pingIdentity (very good but expensive) and symlabs (good but limited in some senses).

i have scoured the 'Net for other commercial identity providers.  i want to install one on the corporate network to enable our intranet users to single sign on to other external websites.

when i started the research i anticipated some kind of hardware box that could be used, but i havent found anything.

does anyone know of any commercial IDPs out there apart form the ones i have mentioned?

many thanks

Another commercial option is Oracle Identity Federation (OIF).  It derives from the former Oblix SHAREid.

This is what we're using at my company currently.  I'm not sure it meets your price point but you may have some leverage if you use other Oracle products too (database, applications, middleware, etc.).

It is a feature-complete federation product and can integrate directly with common web access control products in an enterprise like Siteminder or Oblix/OAM.

I'm a customer not an Oracle employee...

An open-source option might be Shibboleth 2:  https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/Home

(definitely not an "appliance" from an install and configuration perspective...)

Hope this helps,

Todd
